Security cordon in Shabwa after kidnapping

SHABWA, May 18 (Saba) - A security cordon
has been imposed around the Laqmoush area in Yemen's eastern province of Shabwa
after
two Chinese experts were abducted two days ago, the Almotamar website reported on
Tuesday. Two Yemeni soldiers and two drivers were kidnapped with the foreigners who
were
working for a Chinese petroleum company at the Almasila oil field. After the
kidnapping a major security mission was dispatched to the place of the hostages to
prevent leaving
and entering the area amid the efforts to release the abductees. According to the
Interior Ministry's Information Bureau, the provincial security committee during its
meeting
on Monday asked the mission to release the hostages by any means….even by force if
necessary. Meanwhile, good efforts are ongoing to release them including a tribal
mediation.
