Besides a SEBI ban on promoters and related entities from
dealing in securities market, Reserve Bank of India too had
ordered a special audit of books of accounts of the BoR
suspecting violation of operational norms by the lender.
Banking sources, meanwhile, said that a special auditor
appointed by RBI has submitted its report and it has found no
major irregularities in the accounts of BoR, one of the
country's oldest private sector banks incepted in 1943.
Deloitte Haskins & Sells, which submitted its interim-
report to the RBI recently, has almost given a clean-chit.
Padmanabhan said that BoR's board is scheduled to meet
separately on May 28 for discussing the March quarter results.
