KAZAKHSTAN DPM CALLS ON MALAYSIAN COUNTERPART

PUTRAJAYA, May 20(Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin
received a visit from his Kazakhstan counterpart, Aset Issekshev, here Thursday.

Issekshev is here to attend the 6th World islamic Economic Forum which ended
in Kuala Lumpur Thursday.

He was accompanied by Charge d'Affairs of the Kazakhstan embassy here,
Yerbolat J. Nazarbayev; head of its International Cooperation Department,
Industrial and New Technology Ministry, Bolat B. Imanbayev, Counsellor of
Regional Cooperation and Integration Division, Foreign Ministry, Yernur S.
Tuyakbayev; embassy First Secretary Medet A. Makulzhanov; Special Advisor to the
delegation head Yerken Zhanatayev and Islamic Financial Advisor Yerlan
Baidaulet.

The Malaysian delegation included Education Ministry Secretary-General
Zulkurnain Awang, International Trade and Industry Ministry Deputy
Secretary-General (Trade) Dr Rebecca Fatima Sta Maria and Foreign Ministry
Undersecretary for South Asia and West Asia Raszlan Abdul Rashid.
