WEBSITES BLOCKED, FOR PUBLISHING CARTOONS TARGETING PROPHET

SANA'A May 21 (Saba)- A number of groups and pages on the social
website "Facebook" have been blocked for publishing cartoons
targeting the Prophet Mohammed, an official source in the Public
Corporation for Telecommunications said on Friday.

The source told Saba that a group on Facebook has established pages
under the title" day of cartoons of Prophet Mohammed", which aimed
at disgracing the Prophet in flagrant violation of the values and
principals of respect for religions.

The corporation, represented in the Department of Data Communication
Network and Internet, is following up with great interest what is
being published on the website, the official source added.

The source affirmed that the department of data communication
network and internet would continue the follow-up to ban any new
groups that may emerge and go in the same direction.
