FORMER FIRST LADY AINUN HABIBIE'S BODY FLOWN HOME NEXT TUESDAY
London, May 23 (ANTARA) - Former First Lady Ainun Habibie's body will be flown to Indonesia from Germany on Tuesday (May 25), said Agus Priono, a counsellor of the Indonesian Embassy in Germany.
All the preparations are expected to be completed on Tuesday (May 25), Agus Priono told Antara's correspondent in London on Sunday.
Ainun Habibie passed away at 5.30 pm German time on Saturday at Ludwig Maximilians Universitat, Klinikum Gro`hadern, Munchen, Germany, where she had been treated since last March.
Mrs Habibie was admitted to the hospital last March and had ever since undergone several operations to remove a tumor from her lungs.
According to Agus Priono, her body will be handed over by former President B.J. Habibie's family to the Indonesian ambassador in Berlin, Eddy Pratomo in Freimann Mosque Moschee in der Freisinger Landstrasse, Munchen.
The ambassador will accompany former President Habibie and his family when flying the Garuda Indonesia GA 9741/9751 aircraft to Indonesia.
Ainun Habibie who died at the age of 72 had two sons namely Ilham Habibie and Tareq Habibie, and four grand children.
Habibie was Indonesia`s third president after Soekarno and Soeharto.
