Saleh receives ACWA Power International company chairman

TAIZ, May 23 (Saba) -
President Ali Abdullah Saleh received in here on Sunday Chairman of the Saudi
International
Company for Water and Power Projects (ACWA Power International) Mohammad Abunayyan.
Abunayyan briefed President Saleh on the company's plan for implementing Mocha
seawater desalination project to supply Taiz and Ibb with water.
The President affirmed the importance of carrying out the two projects, the
seawater desalination station and Mocha-Taiz-IBB water supply pipelines,
simultaneously, affirming
the importance of implementing the projects as soon as possible.
He also talked about the significance of rehabilitating water distribution network
in Taiz and Ibb cities according to the prepared studies in this regard.
Saleh renewed Yemen's appreciation of the grant provided by the Saudi government
for financing the water supply pipeline project.
Welcoming the Saudi investment, the President reiterated that the Saudi investments
would get all support in Yemen in order to achieve the two countries' common
concerns.
