IFM TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT REFORMS IN YEMEN
SANA'A, May 24 (Saba) – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) affirmed on Monday its readiness to continue to support the reforms in Yemen.
This came during a meeting gathered Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Karim al-Arhabi and the IMF's mission led by Hassan al-Atrash.
In the meeting, the two sides reviewed the current cooperation between Yemen and the Fund and means of boosting it to serve the common goals and issues relating to the existing cooperation in the field of reforms.
Al-Arhabi lauded the IMF's contributions to support the process of reforms in Yemen.
He briefed the Fund's mission on the nature of achievements made at the level of financial, counting, tax and custom reforms that aim to develop the performance of banking sector.
Furthermore, the two sides discussed details relating to the efforts exerted by the Yemeni government to improve the investment environment in Yemen.
