INDIAN AMBASSADOR PRESENTS CREDENTIALS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Mongolia Mr. Satbir Singh presented Monday his letter of credence to Mongolia's President Ts.Elbegdorj.
At the meeting held after this ceremony, the President congratulated Mr. Singh for becoming the Ambassador to Mongolia, and expressed his satisfaction with intensive development of the Mongolia-India traditional and friendly relations.
Mr. Elbegdorj mentioned that he started his first abroad visit from India in September 2009. He emphasized an importance of this visit in contributing to bringing the bilateral relations into a partnership level. Mr. Elbegdorj spoke about big roles of the cultural and educational spheres in the bilateral ties and underlined the sides have a requirement as well as an opportunity to widen the collaboration in economic, commercial and investment spheres.
The President expressed a hope that the Prime Minister of the Republic of India Manmohan Singh will visit Mongolia on occasion of the 55th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic relations to be celebrated this year.
In response, Mr. Singh said he is satisfied with representing his country to Mongolia and promised to work with efforts to bring the ties into a newer step during his office term.
