MAYOR CONCERNS ABOUT SAFETY ENVIRONMENT IN CITY

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city G.Monkhbayar convened Monday governors of districts and heads of police sections to discuss issues of ensuring safety environment for the city's people.
The Mayor said the alcoholism level is still high, a lot of bars and small shops offer vodka but do not obey law regulations, thus making alcoholism level grow which, in its turn, makes crimes increase.
He said the city authorities are ready to draw any decisions on improving connections among professional organizations in order to regulate alcohol consumption issues. Mentioning that citizens do not feel safe, the Mayor ordered authorities of the districts and of police sections to draw up a detailed plan of works targeted at improving the safety environment.
