ABOUT VISIT OF VICE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE TO FRANCE


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A delegation headed by Mrs. J.Saule, the Vice Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia, has paid a working visit to the Republic of France.
The Vice Minister held meetings with authorities of France's Ministry of Food and Agriculture in frames of her visit. The French side received proposals of Mongolia to deepen cooperation in the spheres of agriculture, veterinary service and animal breeding, to gain the foot-and-mouth disease free status for Mongolian provinces, to train Mongolian vets and experts in veterinary and food safety labs of France, to support collaboration and initiatives of professional organizations and private sector in introducing a contemporary system of livestock registration, and to establish cooperation contracts and agreements between the two countries' Ministries.
The sides considered as necessary to strengthen the direct ties between the Mongolian Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry and French Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fishing and to develop middle- and long-term programs after creating opportunities to cooperate in certain projects.
The Mongolian delegation led by Mrs. Saule visited the Rungis International Market, the French Agency of Food Safety and the Association of Livestock Businessmen.
This visit is to contribute toe xpanding the Mongolia-France cooperation in the food and agricultural sectors.
