Yemen, S. Korea review Yemen's accession to WTO
SANA'A, May 26 (Saba) - Yemen and South Korea discussed here on Wednesday the progress in the mutual negotiations in
completing the requirements of Yemen's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Minister of Industry and Trade Yahya al-Mutawakil and the Korean ambassador to
Yemen Won-ho Kwak reviewed the important results of the last Yemeni-Korean mutual
negotiations
held on the visit's sideline of the Yemeni negotiating team to Geneva.
Kwak expressed his willingness to sign the joint agreement between the two
countries related to accession to markets in fields of goods and services during
the coming few
weeks.
He also referred to his country's readiness to provide more support to accelerate
Yemen's accession to the WTO.
For his part, al-Mutawakil pointed out to the steps taken by Yemen in the accession
process, hailing the Korean cooperation shown in this regard.
He also praised the Korean role in supporting Yemen's efforts to complete its
requirements to the accession to WTO at the end of the current year.
