SCER, EU review joint electoral cooperation

SANA'A, May 26 (Saba)- Chairman of the Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum (SCER) Khalid al-Sharif met on
Wednesday with a mission from the European Union Headquarters in Brussels headed by Philippe Jacques.

During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of the bilateral cooperation as well as
means of expanding and reinforcing partnership between the two sides in the
electoral area.
They dealt with draft of the election support document and comments of the SCER on
the document in the field of the electoral awareness and reinforcing the democratic
concepts.
They also discussed future visions of the international support document, in
addition to the current support for electoral activities and programs, specially in
the field
of institutional building.
The EU official affirmed support for the SCER in the various areas to help efforts
of the Commission in implementing and activating its programs.
