Yemen, ESCWA discuss furthering cooperation

BEIRUT, May 29 (Saba) - Yemen and
Economic and Social Committee for Western Asia of the United Nations (ESCWA)
discussed on Saturday
ways strengthening cooperation in several areas.
Yemeni Ambassador to Lebanon Faisal Abu Ras held talks with the ESCWA Planning and
Technical Cooperation officer Roberto Lourinti over how to enhance ESCWA's
assistance
to Yemen in technical, consulting and service areas.
During the meeting, Abu Ras expressed Yemen's keenness on boosting cooperation with
ESCWA and succeeding the visit of its delegation to Yemen scheduled for next June.
It is worth mentioning that the meeting aims to arrange for the ESCWA delegation's
visit to Yemen to get acquainted with the needed aid presented by the relevant
ministries
and bodies in Yemen.
