MoU to enhance girls education participation signed
SANA'A, May 29 (Saba)- Ministry
of Technical Education and Vocational Training and Oxfam signed on Saturday a
Memorandum
of Understanding (MoU) to enhance girls' participation in the programs of technical
education and vocational training.
The MoU includes a program of micro loans for the girls graduated from institutions
of technical education and vocational training in Hadhramout and Hodeidah
provinces.
It also includes a study to determine the new specialties that may to be developed
in the technical and vocational institutions to meet needs of the labor market.
It also includes an implementing process an awareness project in the issue of
productive health and early marriage in the education foundations in Hodeidah and
Hadhramout.
The memo was signed by the Ministry Undersecretary for Education Sector and Girls
Training Lmyaa al-Eryani and Oxfam director in Yemen Attayeb Mousa to enhance the
girls
participation in various fields.
After the signing ceremony, al-Eryani appreciated Oxfam's efforts in supporting the
educational programs and girls training in different fields, as well as the
organization
efforts in the fields of girls economic empowerment and reducing poverty.
For his part, the Oxfam official expressed pleasure to open joint cooperation
channels with the ministry, affirming his adherence to enhance cooperation ties
with Yemen.
