ADEN'S GOVERNOR STRESSES IMPORTANCE OF SUPPORTING WOMEN

ADEN, May 31 (Saba) - The Governor of Aden, Adnan al-Jeffri,
stressed on Monday the importance of supporting women and protecting
their legal rights, as women is a key partner in the economic
development process.

In his speech at the conclusion of a workshop on the elimination of
all forms of discrimination against women, al-Jeffri noted to the
women's role through continuous training, rehabilitation and
education of girls and introducing them to the laws that guarantee
their legal rights.

The participants in the two-day workshop, organized by the National
Commission for Women and supported by UNICEF, discussed a summary of
the sixth national report on the level of implementation of the
Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against
Women (CEDAW).
