PARLIAMENT CONDEMNS ZIONIST ATTACK AGAINST AID CONVOY



SANA'A, May 31(Saba) - The Parliament condemned on Monday the
Zionist criminal storm against the "Freedom Fleet" in the
international water, which was carrying humanitarian aid for Gazans,
who have been under Israeli blockade for almost four years.

In a statement released at the conclusion of its meeting, the
parliament considered the Zionist entity's move a blatant challenge
to the whole world and a clear threat to the international peace and
security, calling on the entire international community to carry its
responsibilities towards the world peace.

The parliament held the Zionist entity and its supporters
responsible for the results of this heinous act and the safety of
all members of the Freed Fleet ,including the Yemeni
parliamentarians Mohamed al-Hazmi, Hazza al-Maswari, and
Abdul-Khaliq bin Shihon.

The parliament commended the positions of the Yemeni government,
people and leadership and their continued support for the
Palestinian issue.

It also praised the supportive positions of the Turkish leadership
and peoples towards the Arab and Islamic issues, foremost the
Palestinian cause.

The parliament called upon the concerned authorities to quickly lift
the siege on the Gaza Strip and open crossings, in the forefront of
which is Rafah Crossing in order to alleviate the suffering of the
Palestinian people.

Furthermore, the parliament approved mandating a group of its
members to go to the United Nations Office in Sana'a to express the
parliament's condemnation and condemnation of this criminal act.

The aid convoy "Freedom Fleet" was attacked in a pre-dawn raid when
Israeli troops dropped from a helicopter to ship decks causing the
tragedy that has drawn international condemnation.

The aid boats, organized by pro-Palestinian groups, left European
ports on Sunday to deliver food and other aid to the people in the
Gaza strip under blockade since 2007.
