Yemen to attend regional civil aviation security forum
SANA'A, May 31 (Saba) - Yemen
is to participate in the Middle East Regional Civil Aviation Security Forum which
starts
on Tuesday in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi.
Upon departure, head of the Yemeni delegation for the meeting, Minster of Transport
Khalid Ibrahim al-Wazer, said the participating comes in response to the invitation
of
the Minister of Economy, Chairman of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation in the
United Arab Emirates.
The meeting under the theme 'Civil Aviation Security Threats and Risks' will
discuss the two-day ways to enhance cooperation between Participating countries for
the effective
application of aviation security standards of the Organization of international
Civil Aviation and recommended practices, policies and procedures applied in this
area al-Wazer
said .
The two-day forum will discuss ways of boosting cooperation among the participating
countries for effective implementation of civil society standards issued by the
International
Civil Aviation Organization ICAO, the minister said.
It also aims to adopt similar strategies to face the risks of civil aviation
security. Head of the national Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority Hamid Farag
is among
the delegation members.
