YEMEN COASTGUARD, GERMAN DEVELOPMENT BANK DISCUSS COOPERATION

ADEN, June 01(Saba)- Deputy Director General of Coastguard Sector
in the Gulf of Aden, Colonel Abdel Rahman Musa discussed on Tuesday
with Director of the German Development Bank's Office in Yemen areas
of cooperation in various fields.

In the meeting, the two sides dealt with the projects can be
implemented, including the modernization and development of the
coastguard sector technical navigational system in light of training
and rehabilitation plan.

In the meeting, Musa reviewed the service technical activity of the
central technical workshop for maintaining the coastguard boats and
the purchasing of equipment for upgrading and repairing its marine
service system, which helps in securing the shipping lanes of
international water and the fight against piracy and terrorism.

For his part, the German official voiced the Bank's readiness to
offer the required technical support to the Coastguard Sector in the
Gulf of Aden to enable the sector to modernize its technical system.

He pointed out that the Coastguard Sector in the Gulf of Aden has
greatly helped in securing the Yemeni regional corridors and
providing assistance to vessels.
