YEMENI-JAPANESE PARLIAMENTARY COOPERATION DISCUSSED
SANA'A, June 01 (Saba) - Yemen and Japan discussed on Tuesday
subjects of promoting their mutual cooperation relations in
different fields, including the parliamentary one.
The discussions were held in a meeting of Speaker of the Parliament
Yahya al-Rae'i and Japanese ambassador to Yemen Mitsunori Namba who
talked about several issues dealing with the two countries' common
interests.
They also reviewed cooperation fields in exchanging legislative
experiences in order to improve the legislative performance.
The importance of exchanging visits between Yemeni and Japanese
officials to achieve the aimed trends for serving the two countries'
joint interests was also dealt with in the meeting.
Al-Rae'i welcomed Japanese investments in Yemen. He also hailed the
existed relations between Yemen and Japan, calling for raising the
level of economic cooperation between both countries.
In return, the Japanese diplomat referred to the development level
witnessed in Yemen in various fields, affirming the significance of
improving the Yemeni-Japanese cooperation relations to include
further developmental sectors.
