STEPS TO BE TAKEN FOR CONSUMER GOODS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Wednesday's cabinet meeting discussed some measures to be taken for consumer goods, and issued a resolution reflecting their views.
In view of this, a Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry T.Badamjunai told the cabinet that a tendency is observed of a decline in prices of consumer goods, especially meat.
Related Ministers, the city's Mayor, governors of provinces and heads of agencies were ordered to urge a supply of meat to the capital city from Khentii, Dornod and Sukhbaatar aimags in order to limit price boost, to organize meat fairs in Ulaanbaatar from June and to research the demand-and-supply. They were also ordered to operate an one-point service of supervision and permission during the fairs, to create conditions for taking meat from aimags to the city, to store 12.0 thousand tons of meat in Ulaanbaatar, 1.0 thousand ton in Darkhan and Erdenet cities each, and at least 100 thousand tons in centers of other aimags and to sell it every spring. Final task was to place financial resources in the state and local budgets for incentives of reserved meat to be sold in spring.
The Deputy Premier M.Enkhbold and the Agricultural Minister T.Badamjunai were ordered to refine upon stocking of hay and fodder and preparation structure, to draw up a proposal on creating fund of fodder stock and introduce it to the government within the third quarter of this year and to improve quality of wheat for food.
The Minister of Finance S.Bayartsogt, the Agricultural Minister T.Badamjunai and the city Mayor G.Monkhbayar were told to determine size of remainders of consumer goods such as meat, flour, sugar, rice and vegetable oil and to introduce it to the government every month, to refine upon the structure of supply and selling of goods in accordance with the market relations, to construct the latest wholesale outlets in several stages, and to involve a project for founding the outlets in loans and assistance of foreign countries or organizations.
Head of the National Development and Reforms Ch.Khashchuluun was ordered to constantly study a situation in socio-economic development, prices of consumer goods and market. The Minister of Finance was ordered to reflect an alteration in capital for the researches in the amendment to the law on state budget of 2010.
