Saleh phones his Turkish counterpart
SANA'A, June 02 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah
Saleh phoned on Wednesday to his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul ,condoling him on
the
death of Turkish citizens, who were onboard of the Gaza aid flotilla, attacked by
the Israeli forces.
During the phone call, President Saleh reiterated that Yemen condemns this heinous
crime, which reflects the state terrorism practiced by the Israeli entity against
the
unarmed Palestinian people.
He praised the Turkish brave positions to advocate the Palestinian right to break
the siege on the Gaza Strip, and the Turkish positions against arrogance of Israel
that
violates all international laws and conventions and human values.
The two leaders stressed the need to hold accountable the perpetrators of this
heinous crime that should not pass without punishment of those involved.
In the phone call, the two leaders discussed the bilateral relations and areas of
joint cooperation between the two countries and means of boosting them, as well as
the
regional and international developments of common concern.
