Underway communications to release Yemeni lawmaker
SANA'A, June 02(Saba) - Intensive contacts are made by Yemen to know the fate of the Yemeni lawmaker, Mohamed al-Hazmi, and follow his release and return to Yemen, a source at the Foreign Ministry told
the 26sep.net on Wednesday.
The source said that the Yemeni ambassador to Jordan Hussein bin Taher visited the
two Yemeni lawmakers, Haza'a Al-Maswari and Abdul Khaliq Bin Shaihoon, at the Crown
Hotel
in Jordon's capital, Amman, after the Zionist entity released them early on Wednesday.
The source pointed out that there is another Yemeni called "al-Qotaib" , a resident
in Turkey, was among those released, and believed that he returned with the Turkish
delegation,
while the third lawmaker Mohammed al-Hazmi still in the custody of the Zionist entity.
The three Yemeni lawmakers were among those activists, who were arrested during the
assault on the Gaza aid flotilla.
The two other lawmakers were transferred to Jordan early Wednesday as a prelude to
sending them home.
The transfer of the two lawmakers released came as Israel started to release peace
activists who were onboard the foltilla that was raided while on way to deliver aid
for
the people in the Palestinian Gaza strip who have been under Israeli blockade since
2007.
On Tuesday, the Israeli Army Radio said 250 of the activists had been deported.
It added that the release of a further 70 people was underway.
Ten activists were killed and many others were injured in the much-condemned
Israeli raid on the convoy on Monday.
