Yemen, Malaysia in business talks

KUALA LUMPUR, Jun 2 ( Saba)- The Yemeni ambassador to Malaysia Abdullah Mohammed al-Muntasir met on Wednesday with chairman of the
Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) and the Kuala Lumpur Malay Chamber of Commerce Ali Mohamed al-Attas.

The meeting discussed arrangements for the visit of chairman of the General
Authority for Investment and a Yemeni businessmen delegation to Malaysia to
participate in the
International Halal Showcase to be held in Kuala Lumpur 23 - 26 June.
It also dealt with arrangements for the Yemeni-Malaysian workshop that will be
organized by the General Authority for Investment in Yemen on promoting investment
in the
country as well as the role of Malaysian Chambers of Commerce, the Ministry of
International Trade and Industry and the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority
(MIDA)
in the workshop and arranging for invitations for businessmen, heads of industrial
organizations and officials at the concerned ministries for attending the event.
The workshop comes within the efforts to attract Malaysian investments into Yemen
and strengthening trade and industrial partnership between the two countries.
