CABINET MEETING IN BRIEF

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Wednesday's cabinet meeting discussed and backed in principle a draft law on encouraging mothers of many children. It has been initiated by D.Oyunkhorol and P.Altangerel MPs. Some proposals concerning the draft will be submitted to them.
According to the draft law, the 1st class of Order of Glorious Mother will be bestowed upon a mother who brought up at least six, whereas the 2nd class order--upon a mother with four children. If case of approval these mothers are to receive one-time allowances of MNT 500 thousand and one million.
The cabinet discussed and backed in principle a draft amendment to the law on supervision over turnover of explosive substances and blasting facilities, initiated by Kh.Badamsuren, S.Byambatsogt and D.Odbayar MPs. The cabinet backed in principle a draft resolution of parliament on changing boundaries of some natural complex areas, initiated by Ts.Sedvanchig, B.Bat-Erdene and L.Gundalai.
The cabinet meeting discussed a draft resolution of parliament on allowing the government to issue bonds, initiated by parliamentarians S.Byambatsogt and J.Sukhbaatar.
A draft amendment to the law on customs tariffs and customs tax was discussed and backed by the cabinet. It will be submitted to the State Great Khural.
In accordance with a cabinet decision, in the list of special objects protected by police and Internal troops has been involved the "Biokombinat" state-owned factory and the "State veterinary and sanitary central laboratory" state budgetary factory.
The government discussed a draft amendment to the law on legal status of foreign citizens in Mongolia and related to it draft amendments to other laws. They will be submitted to parliament reflecting views of the cabinet members.
The cabinet meeting discussed results of the state visit of President Ts.Elbegdorj to China paid April 28-May 3 this year. The Minister of Foreign Affairs G.Zandanshatar was ordered to submit these results to the National Security Council.
In respect of a decision of the cabinet, Ulaanbaatar city will host the Asian Pacific Postal Union (APPU) Executive Council Meeting in 2011. A report was introduced to the cabinet on working visit of Yo.Otgonbayar, the Minister of Education, Culture and Science, to the Republic of Korea.
