UNIDO'S SEMINAR IS RUNNING
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A continuation of the seminar titled "Policy of Mongolia's Industry" started Thursday in the "Agreement" hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia. The first stage of this seminar was held February 24-25 in Ulaanbaatar co-organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and this Ministry.
At the seminar, the research works into Mongolia's industrial policy the have been presented by L.Alcorta, a director of the Research and Statistics Branch of the UNIDO; P.Pacheco-Lopez, an official from the Branch; J. Weiss, a professor of the University of Bradford (UK); G.Davis, a professor of the University of Colorado (USA); H. Kuffner, a director-general of the International Wool Textile Organization; and Ralph Van Gelder, an animal husbandry expert.
The seminar has gathered representatives of some Ministries such as od Foreign affairs, of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, of Finance, also of the National Committee of Reform and Development, FIFTA, Department of Small- and Middle-sized Production and other ministries, state organizations and NGOs, as well as delegates of some transnational corporations.
The two-day seminar is thoroughly discussing the policy of Mongolia's industry at level of experts. As the UNIDO expects, the fforum will also contribute to making related researches.
