YEMENI GAZA FLOTILLA ACTIVITIES WILL RETURN HOME FRIDAY; FOREIGN MINISTRY

SANA’A, June 04 (Saba)- Yemeni lawmaker Mohammed al-Hamzi is currently in the Turkish capital Ankara after he was released by the Israeli authorities, a official source said Thursday evening.

‘’The Ministry phoned today al-Hamzi after the Israeli authorities released him’’, the officer of Expatriates and Protocol Affairs at Foreign Ministry Yahya al-Sayaghi added.

Al-Hamzi and two lawmakers others were arrested last Monday by the Israeli forces during the assault on the Gaza aid freedom flotilla.

Two Yemeni lawmakers Haza'a al-Maswari and Abdul Khaliq Bin Shaihoon were transferred from Israel to Jordan early Wednesday, while al-Hamzi was transferred from Israel to Turkey.

Al-Hamzi is set to arrive in the Jordanian capital Amman coming Ankara.

‘’Al-Hamzi, al-Maswari and Bin SShaihoon will come back the capital Sana'a Friday evening coming from Amman’’, al-Sayaghi added.

He made clear that the Ministry has received notices from Turkish ambassador to Yemen Mohammed Donamaz and Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Sana'a Jean-Nicolas Marti about the arrival of al-Hamzi to Ankara.

Ten peace activists were killed and many others were injured in the much-condemned Israeli assault on the convoy last Monday.
