Yemen Friends Group support President-called national dialog
BERLIN, June 05 (Saba)
- Yemen Friends Group has voiced support to Yemen's stability and unity as well as
the
national dialog President Ali Abdullah Saleh called for in his speech on the 20th
anniversary of the Unification Day.
This statement was made during the 2nd meeting of the working team on economy and
good governance emerged from Yemen Friends Group held in German's capital Berlin.
Additionally, the group's countries asserted their commitment to carry on their
cooperation and partnership with Yemen.
The participants discussed ways of support and the required assistance the
international community can present to Yemen.
Several papers were reviewed in the meeting presented by the group's countries and
the Yemeni side, which was headed by the First Undersecretary of Foreign Ministry
Mohi
al-Din al-Dhabi.
The papers were on the economic challenges Yemen faces and proposals to overcome them.
The meeting comes to follow up the results of London conference which was held in
January, 2010.Yemen Friends Group meeting was opened on Friday in Berlin. It was
opened
by Hoyer and UAE Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Khalid Ghanim
al-Ghaith.
The meeting was organized in association with the United Arab Emirates UAE, the
Arabian Gulf states that pledged to support Germany on Yemen's economic and
political stability.
