Yemenia launches new line to Chinese Guangzhou
SANA'A, June 06 (Saba) - Yemen
Airways Company is to launch on Monday a new line from Sana'a to the city of
Guangzhou in the
Republic of China.
On this occasion, the company held a press conference here to publicize the
development policy recently pursued by the company and the importance of launching
this new line.
This launch came after an intensive study of the economic and commercial
feasibility, followed by marketing studies between Sana'a and the Chinese
Guangzhou, the Acting
Chairman of Yemen Airways' Board Captian Mohamed al-Sumairi said.
Deputy Director General for Trade Affairs Munir Jahoush affirmed that these
economic studies have given positive indications to start running this line,
pointing out that
the level of booking by passengers on this first inaugural flight reached to a
fullness rate of 100 percent.
Jahoush reviewed a number of services and facilities provided by the company and
the achievements made during the past few months, noting that the company has
passed the
examination of operation safety "IOSA" for the third time by the International Air
Transport Association "IATA" last March.
He pointed out that it has finally signed on a deal for purchasing ten A 320
planes, and the delivery of the first aircraft would be in April 2011, followed by
three planes
during the same year.
On another hand, he pointed out that the company recently completed services of
booking and sales via the internet, and it also launched customer service center
and installed
the latest systems, as well as the partnerships with agents in the "Amadeus" system.
