Yemen, IOM launch protection workshop on smuggling victims

ADEN, June 06 (Saba)-
Aden governorate launched on Sunday a workshop on Protection and Assistance for
Victims of
Smuggling and Trafficking organized by the International Organization for Migration
(IOM) and funded by the Swiss government with 170 participants from relevant
institutions.
In the two-day workshop, the participants will be introduced to the importance of
providing comprehensive assistance to victims of trafficking.
At the opening of the workshop, Aden Undersecretary Governor Ahmed al-Dholai
affirmed the importance of benefiting from the outcomes of this workshop to
strengthen assistance
to victims of smuggling.
Al-Dholai pointed out to the advantage of the workshop through finding out
solutions and proposals for the reduction of smuggling and human trafficking cases
and protecting
children from exploitation in the works which do not fit with their ages.
