Japan wills to support Yemen fishery sector
SANA'A, June 07 (Saba) - Japan expressed
on Monday willingness to support Yemen to rehabilitate Aden Aquaculture Research
Centre
and to establish a model fish port.
During his meeting with Minister of Fisheries Wealth Mohammed Shamlan, the Japanese
ambassador to Sana'a Mitsunori Namba said that Japan's government is ready to prop
up
Yemen's effort in fish researches field.
The Japanese diplomat stressed the need to strengthen cooperation between Yemen and
Japan in field of training, rehabilitation and development of fish information
system
as well as the completion of fish sector infrastructure.
Minister Shamlan called on Japanese investors to take advantage from the investment
opportunities available in the fishery sector, especially in the field of Tuna
farming,
which is demanded very mach in the Japanese markets.
