Draft regulations on issues of land ownership claims discussed

SANA'A, June 07
(Saba) - The Ministerial Committee to address the issues of land ownership claims in
the provinces
of Lahj, Abyan and Hodeidah discussed Monday a draft regulations on these issues.
The draft regulations, submitted by the General Authority for Lands, Survey and
Urban Planning, aimed to develop a legal and administrative treatment for the
dispute over
the ownership of lands purchased from the state property for the purpose of
establishing investment projects.
In addition to the lands that have been disbursed by the state agencies to
associations or individuals for the purpose of agricultural investment and not
being exploited.
The ministerial committee approved to mandate the Technical Bureau of the Ministry
of Justice as well as representatives of the Ministries of Endowments and Guidance
and
Legal Affairs, and the authority to re-examine the draft and propose a package
explaining the compatibility of the draft terms with the legislations and laws in
force during
a maximum period of ten days.
