Yemen oil revenues hit $905 million in Jan-April 2010

SANA'A, June 09 (Saba) -
Yemen's oil revenues hit $905 million during January - April of 2010, up from $365
million for
the same period in 2009.
A report issued by the Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) attributed the increase to a
boost of the Yemeni share of oil production to 11,420,000 barrels compared to
8,100,000 barrels
in the same period of 2009.
The oil price in January-April 2010 has hiked to an average of $79.63 per barrel,
while it was $54.06 in 2009, according to the report.
The report also showed a decline in the local consumption in the same period, which
has dropped to 6,710,000 barrels in 2010 compared with 9,000,000 in 2009.
