Cosmonauts lose 2-3 kg in weight during spacewalks.

KOROLYOV, Moscow Region, July 16 (Itar-Tass) - During spacewalks,
cosmonauts lose two to three kilogrammes in weight, Cosmonaut Alexander Volkov, the father of Sergei Volkov, mission commander of the ISS 17 space expedition, told journalists here on Tuesday night. Sergei Volkov currently engages in extravehicular activities (EVA).
Alexander Volkov said, "During a six-hour spacewalk, a cosmonaut loses two to three kilogrammes in weight. Can you imagine how difficult EVA is?> He told journalists that he has a communication session with his son two to three times a week.
In response to a question whether cosmonauts have some good-luck
charm, Alexander Volkov remarked, "None of cosmonauts carry any good-luck charms. Neither had I heard about any rituals before a spacewalk".
