CBM'S PROJECT TO START ACTIVITIES IN IBB NEXT AUGUST

IBB, June 09 (Saba) - Ibb Governor Ahmed al-Hajri met here on
Wednesday with the team of the CBM's project in the field of
disability.

In the meeting, the two sides reviewed and discussed the project's
functions and activities in the field of disability to be launched
actually during next August.

Al-Hajri was briefed by the CBM's teams on social and health
services to be provided by the project to disabled persons in
cooperation with the local authority, as well as carrying out a
survey on the available services and benefiting from the health
facilities and working with civil society organizations and funds.

The governor praised this humanitarian initiative, noting that there
a lot of disabled persons in the province of Ibb and it needs
experts and services in this field.

He affirmed the local authority leadership would support these
efforts and cooperate with the team to provide the services and
studies for the disabled persons.

CBM is an international Christian development organization whose
primary purpose is to improve the quality of life of the world's
poorest persons with disabilities. It is one of the larger INGOs
working in the field of disability.
