Islamic Development Bank`s delegation visits Saada
SAADA, June 09 (Saba) - Saada
Governor Taha Hajer met here on Wednesday the Islamic Development Bank's delegation
headed
by Yemen's official at the Bank Ahmed al-Sadiq.
Talks in the meeting dealt with the situations of the province and the efforts to
bring peace and security to the province as well as the province's needs in all
fields
and the process of development and reconstruction.
The delegation's visit to the province comes with the aim of identifying the urgent
needs and the development priorities in the province and the Bank's role in
providing
these needs and contributing to the development in the province.
The governor briefed the delegation on the humanitarian situation in the province
and its urgent needs.
For his part, the Bank's official pointed out that the Bank would work to implement
a number of projects in the fields of development and reconstruction and would a
lot
of urgent aid to the province.
He hailed the cooperation of the province leadership and its readiness to
facilitate the Bank's mission in the province.
The Executive Director of Saada Reconstruction Fund Mohamed Thabit noted that the
fund would implement, in partnership with the Islamic Bank, a number of urgent
reconstruction
programs in the areas of education and health, as well as participation in the
reconstruction of homes, farms and public facilities.
