MAS EXTENDS MHINSURE TO TRAVELLERS IN UK, UAE, NZ

SUBANG (Malaysia), June 10 (Bernama) -- Malaysia Airlines (MAS) will make it
easier for travellers in UK, United Arab Emirates and New Zealand to buy travel
insurance online with the introduction of MHinsure there.

In a statement here Thursday, MAS said with the inclusion of the new
markets, the airline's customers there could enjoy the product at affordable
premiums.

It said MAS now had 11 countries in its network offering MHinsure.

MAS general manager of business development, Visva Sabaratnam, said MHinsure
would provide a wide array of valuable emergency and travel assistance services.

"The customers will have the option to buy this product at the time they
purchase their airline tickets at www.malaysiaairlines.com," he said.

He said the insurance offered comprehensive 24-hour worldwide emergency
assistance, and included coverage for medical expenses, cancellations, baggage
loses, delays and other travel disruptions.

MAS said MHinsure was available for certain destinations served by the
airline or its code-share partners.

"In Malaysia, Singapore and Australia, MHinsure is available to residents
travelling on any airline from these countries.

"In the UK, United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, France, Germany, Italy,
Netherlands and Sweden, MHinsure is available only with MAS flights purchased
online.
