KFHMB EYES YOUTHS, CHILDREN

DUBAI, June 12 (Bernama) -- Kuwait Finance House (M) Bhd (KFHMB) plans to
expand its services, set up new branches and widen its reach to include a
variety of clients such as youths and children.

It will also continue to serve ladies and its other market segments,
according to KFHMB chief executive officer (CEO) Jamelah Jamaluddin.

On a visit to Kuwait, she observed a course organised for youths and
children who were KFH customers and visited the KFH ladies' branches.

In her first meeting with female leaders of KFH, the banker said the role
played by KFHMB in accelerating commercial activity in East Asia "has been
impressive" in light of the growing demand for products and services.

"Islamic banks are able to contribute to the economic growth of Malaysia
through innovative offerings of products and services, which makes the country
one of the important centres of the Islamic banking industry," she was quoted
as saying in a KFHMB statement.

She also pointed out that KFH provided women many advantages in the service
industry where they had the opportunity to prove themselves at work.

Jamelah was the first woman in the history of KFH to be made CEO, in
February 2010.
