Yemen, Italy discuss establishment of €1 mln blood center

TAIZ, June 12 (Saba) - Yemen and Italy discussed here on Saturday the establishment of a blood center in Taiz province funded by the Italian government at a cost of €1 million.

Taiz Governor Hamoud al-Sufi held talks with the Project Manager in the Italian
embassy in Yemen on the adopted procedures to establish the center.
The Italian diplomat said that the establishment and equipping of the blood center
in the province comes within the framework of a Yemeni-Italian cooperation
agreement.
He affirmed that the project will be coupled with other activities such as
qualifying the center's cadres.
For his part, al-Sufi praised the Italian support and ordered the officials of
endowment and state lands offices to provide the suitable plot of land for the
center.
He also directed the officials to coordinate with the Italian side to start
preparing the designs and launching the implementation.
