Yemen to take part in MENA conference on education quality in France
SANA'A, June 13 ( Saba) - Minister of Technical Education and Vocational
Training Ibrahim Hajri headed
on Sunday to France for the International Middle East and North
Africa (MENA) conference on education quality and balance between
graduate output and labor market needs.
The meeting will be held in the city of Marseille on 14-15 June.
Hajri said the conference will discuss a number of issues relating to
improving education output and the match between the output and labor
market demands as well as the
best ways to prepare the youth and qualify them through modern
approaches to be skilled laborers.
Yemen's participation in the conference came in reply to the invitation
of the World Bank to learn from the expertise of participating countries
of improving the technical
education system and its output, he said.
From France, Hajri will fly to Germany on a visit in reply to the
invitation of his German Counterpart to discuss how Yemen can benefit
for the German experience in the
technical education field, he said.
He noted that Germany will increase its aid to Yemen to improve the
technical education system for 2010-2011.
