Saada Fund approves budget for reconstruction in Bni Hushish district

SANA'A, June 13 (Saba) - The Board of Directors of Saada Reconstruction
Fund approved on Sunday a work
plan and an estimated budget for reconstruction of 405 buildings,
including 379 houses in Bni Hushish district, Sana'a province, at a
total cost of YR 717.2 million.
In this respect, the Fund's board emphasized the executive management
to coordinate with Sana'a Governor on the priorities in the
reconstruction process.
In its meeting, the Fund's board reviewed the report of the Fund's
executive management on its activities in the various aspects relating
to the reconstruction process according
to the functions specified in its establishment decision.
The report included the results of the final counting for damages
caused by the last rebellion war in the old city of Saada.
It also dealt with the progress in the level of implementation in some
public facilities and the projects under counting and studying by the
Fund.
The report pointed to the operational procedures have been taken for
the establishment of the temporary headquarters of the local authority
in a number of districts as well
as the proposed mechanism to start the reconstruction of houses and
farms in particular.
The Fund's board held the insurgency elements accountable for
obstructing the reconstruction efforts in a number of districts and
hindering the work of the Fund's technical
committees.
The board agreed to the proposals on enhancing the executive
management's authorities and instructed the executive management to
prepare a report on the rates of reconstruction
and submit it in the next meeting.
