NA ninth ordinary session to be held on June 14-30

VIENTIANE ,11 JUNE (KPL) - The 9th ordinary session of the National Assembly‘s sixth legislature will be held between 14 and 30 June, said Mr. Thongteun Sayasen, Standing Committee member and Head of the National Assembly’s Office.
According to Mr. Thongteun, the meeting will see the debate on and the consideration of the government’s report and plan on the implementation of its socio-economic development for the current fiscal year and the 2010-2011 period, and the state budget for 2009-2010 period, the proposal of the government on adjusting the state budget for 2009-2010, the report by president of the state auditing organisation on the conclusion of the government budget for 2008-2009 period.
Reports on the 2009-2010 operation and plan for 2010-2011 period by the People’s Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, the People’s Supreme Court will be heard at the meeting as well as the evaluation by the National Assembly on the operation of government organisations at central and local levels, the People’s Supreme Court and People’s Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, the report by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and its plan for 2010-2011 period.
It is expected that the ninth ordinary session of the National Assembly’s sixth legislature will consider and adopt into law three draft laws on statistics, consumers protection and the prevention of AIV/AIDS.
