Yemen, DFID talk over cooperation in various areas

SANA'A, June 13 (Saba) - Yemen
and the UK Department for International Development (DFID) held on Sunday talks over
cooperation
in various fields.
Minister of Industry and Trade Yahya al-Mutawakil and the DFID delegation headed by
Dylan Winder talked about the DFID support for the Ministry to perk up the business
environment
under the framework of improving the business environment project supervised by the
International Finance Corporation (IFC).
They also reviewed the Ministry's plans for developing the promising sector of
industry that the country relies on to advance the comprehensive development and
diversify
the structure of the national economy in Yemen.
Al-Mutawakil made clear that the Ministry is carrying out a number of procedures
for strengthening the ability of the industrial sector and raising the investments
in that
field via implementing border industrial and economic zones.
Yemen has attained many achievements in improving the business and investment
environment, the minister said, highlighting the support of donor organizations and
countries
for Yemen in this regard.
