Yemen, DFID, IFC discuss cooperation

SANA'A, June 14 (Saba) - Yemen, UK Department
for International Development (DFID) and International Finance Corporation (IFC)
discussed
here on Monday cooperation relations.
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi held talks
with DFID and IFC joint mission on enhancing the current cooperation, particularly
in
the technical advisory program carried out by the IFC and financed by DFID, which
focuses on reinforce partnership between the government and the private sector.
During the meeting, al-Arhabi and the mission discussed several issues pertaining
to the implementation of reforms in industrial, monitoring and evaluation areas in
addition
to enhance partnership between the public and private sectors.
Al-Arhabi saluted the DFID support for the program and the IFC technical assistance
to advance the government efforts to carry out the national reform agenda.
The program of enhancing partnership between public and private sectors includes
presenting counsels in drafting laws, technical assistance for governmental private
sectors'
corporations that work in perking up the environment of investment and micro-finance.
