CULTURAL GROUPS FROM FIVE COUNTRIES TO PARTICIPATE IN NEGERI SEMBILAN CARNIVAL

SEREMBAN (Malaysia), June 14 (Bernama) -- Cultural groups from five countries are expected to participate in the Negeri Sembilan 2010 Cultural Carnival from June 18-20.

State tourism, unity, culture, arts, heritage and Malay customs committee
chairman Mohammad Razi Kail said cultural troupes from Thailand, Brazil,
Indonesia, Japan and an African nation would be part of the carnival.
They will be joined by groups from the states of Perak, Sarawak, Penang,
Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Pahang, Kedah, Johor, Terengganu and Negeri Sembilan, he
said here Monday, adding that the programme was organised as part of the Colours
of Malaysia event on May 22.
The carnival, aimed at promoting tourism and culture, would be held at five
various locations in Negeri Sembilan, a state located south of Kuala Lumpur.
Seremban is the capital of Negeri Sembilan.
