CIS chief prosecutors to meet in Tbilisi

TBILISI, July 17 (Itar-Tass) - The Coordination Council of Chief
Prosecutors of the CIS countries will meet in the Georgian capital on
Thursday.

The Georgian prosecutor's office reports that the participants in the
meeting will discuss cooperation of the CIS supervision bodies in the
struggle against drug trafficking, trade in humans, human organs and
tissues as well as against illegal migration. A plan of action against
crime will also be a vital topic for discussion. The prosecutors will sum
up the results of their efforts to put an end to various manifestations of
terrorism and extremism.

The participants in the meeting are expected to work out a plan of
further cooperation between the prosecutor general offices of the CIS
countries.

Delegations of ten prosecutor offices of CIS countries will take part
in the meeting. It's most likely that delegations of Uzbekistan and
Turkmenistan will not attend the forum. The other delegations will either
be headed by chief prosecutors or their first deputies.

The Coordination Council of the CIS chief prosecutors meets twice a
year. The last time Tbilisi hosted this meeting was in 1997.
