US and India to hold high level talks next week

Washington, Jun 15 (PTI) Close on the heels of a highly
successful Indo-US Strategic Dialogue early this month, as
many as five Union Ministers are scheduled to visit US next
week to hold series of talks with their American counterparts.
"The visit of the five ministers, following closely on
the inaugural meeting of the US-India Strategic Dialogue in
Washington, underscores the energy and enthusiasm both sides
attach to continuing our efforts to strengthen the US-India
partnership across a wide range of sectors," State Department
spokesman, P J Crowley said.
The US is hosting a high-level delegation of Indian
ministers for a series of meetings at the end of this month,
he said, adding that these are follow up to the Indo-US
Strategic Dialogue early this month, which were co-chaired by
the External Affairs Minister, S M Krishna and Secretary of
State, Hillary Clinton.
"Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission, Montek Singh
Ahluwalia, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Commerce
Minister Anand Sharma will be attending the US-India CEO Forum
on June 22," Crowley said.
"Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Ghulam
Nabi Azad will be in Washington and Atlanta from June 23 to 25
for the US-India Health Dialogue," Crowley said.
Minister of State for Science and Technology, Prithviraj
Chavan is scheduled to be in Washington on June 24 and 25 for
the US-India Science and Technology Forum," Crowley said. PTI
