DISUNITY MAKES MUSLIMS A VULNERABLE COMMUNITY, SAYS PREACHER

KOTA KINABALU (Malaysia), June 16 (Bernama) -- A major factor that
contributes towards vulnerability among Muslims of the world is that the unity
among them is not strong, according to United Sabah Islamic Association (Usia)
Da’wah Director Abuhurairah Abdurrahman.

He said this was because the majority of Muslims were not looking to the
Quran for guidance to succeed in various fields and to address problems.

"If you go to the Quran, it is very clear that the instruction of the
Quran says that you should not be divided among yourselves or failure will be
certain. This is what is happening with the Islamic ummah now. They are not so
united.

"If you complied with the directions in the Quran, then I think you will be
successful in overcoming all of your problems," he told reporters here Wednesday
after presenting a special religious talk on the cruelty of the Israeli Zionist
regime towards Palestine.

Abuhurairah was asked what the Muslims could do to fight back at the
regime’s cruel intentions towards them.

He said the Zionist regime was not afraid to invade and conquer people, even
with malice, as they believed they were a strong force to be reckoned with.

The regime had three aims to become a strong community to achieve its
ambition of establishing the Great State of Israel, namely to dominate the world
economy, gain control of the press and divert Muslims and Christians and other
religious communities from their teachings, he said.

"With money and power, they can spread their influence and make themselves
more powerful to achieve their goals."

Abuhurairah also reminded other religious communities to refer to the
teachings of their holy book and become united with their religion.

He said unity among themselves would also bring unity in every aspect of
their lives, as in Islam.
