DFID official hails democratic experience in Yemen
SANA'A, June 16 (Saba) - The UK
Department for International Development (DFID) delegation head Dylan Winder hailed
on Wednesday
the democratic experience in Yemen.
At his meeting with the UK official, Speaker of the Parliament Yahya al-Rae'i
affirmed the big importance of laws related to the economic and social development.
He also made clear that the Parliament is working on enhancing laws in this regard
in the light of suggestions of the government.
The aim of developing these laws is to cope with the international standardizations
and to help the local investors invest their money in an appropriate way.
The Parliament speaker reviewed the implemented laws by the Parliament in that
field, noting that other laws are still under implementation to be submitted to
Parliament
for discussion.
Yemen has a suitable environment and investment climate as well as the laws which
ensure investors to invest in a promising economic areas, he referred to.
In return, the DFID head praised the comprehensive development and changes seen in
Yemen, expressing his country and people's readiness to support Yemen to overcome
the
overall challenges impeding development process in the country.
He also called to continue developing economic development laws in order to obtain
more achievements and prosperity in Yemen.
