KING GRANTS FAREWELL AUDIENCE TO FORMER BRUNEI ENVOY TO MALAYSIA

KUALA LUMPUR, June 18 (Bernama) -- King Tuanku Mizan Zainal
Abidin granted a farewell call to former outgoing Brunei High Commissioner to
Malaysia Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Halbi at
National Palace here Friday.

Awang Halbi, 54, officially took up his posting in Malaysia on March 25 this
year and was appointed Brunei's deputy home affairs minister on May 29.

Before coming to Malaysia, he was the commander of the Royal Brunei Armed
Forces.
