Former Asian Development Bank chief Chino dies at 74

TOKYO, July 18 (Kyodo) - Former Asian Development Bank President Tadao Chino died Thursday of liver failure at a hospital in the city of Saitama, his family said. He was 74.

Chino, a native of Shizuoka Prefecture, served as ADB chief from January 1999 to January 2005 and promoted efforts to eradicate poverty in Asia.
